Hayley Orrantia, she is an American singer-songwriter and actress. People are most familiar with her as Erica Goldberg in the comedy The Goldbergs' TV show. Although she's a singer but her main passion is music. Music is her first love, she claims; it's something she's dabbled at when she was nine years old. After she turned 12 years old, music was taken seriously enough, that she started professional training. She began songwriting when she was 13 and was only 14 when she recorded her first album of cover songs. It was the beginning of her career. Orrantia was born in the USA but has Hispanic origins. She's proud of the fact that she has Hispanic roots, despite speaking English only and never lived in Mexico. She tries to maintain it through studying Spanish and creating songs in the Spanish language. One of her attempts was an original Spanish song titled 'Hasta Verte..' Orrantia appeared on The X Factor during its debut season in the summer of 2011. Orrantia, who was initially picked by a panel of YouTube videos and got the four "yeses," from judges in Seattle during live audition phase. Her initial audition was for "Hollywood Week" as a solo artist. However, three female singers along with her were brought together for auditions of the rest of her songs. They were eliminated during the fifth week of the live show.
