Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford, as she's more commonly known, was an American-born British musician and vocalist who was the leader of the only female hard-rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. Though the group didn't make much progress in America however they became extremely popular in other countries. This was especially true in Japan. Ford's solo career in heavy metal had a great success following the group break-up. Following vocal training, she debuted her own solo album, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of her second album, 'Dancin on the Edge'. Her albums weren't very well-received and she stayed away for a couple of years. The smash hit 'Lita' came out in 1989. Kiss Me Deadly (single) and Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were her greatest hit songs. Her success was unfortunately brief and after a couple of more years, she disappeared. After releasing 'Black, in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland 15 years afterwards it was back in the spotlight. The album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the award of a Certified Guitar Legend.
